Magnolia Mill School is a therapeutic learning community for female, non-binary and transgender students, ages 14 to 17, where personal growth meets academic excellence in a captivating environment. Blending a normalized prep school environment with comprehensive therapeutic programming, Magnolia Mill provides a holistic approach to personal development, empowering bright-minded young students as they navigate the journey toward college and beyond. Young people grappling with challenges such as depression, social anxiety, PTSD, and attachment wounds require specialized support to advance their interpersonal, emotional regulation, and academic skills during their adolescence. Magnolia Mill's approach emphasizes high levels of family intervention, emotional safety, and healthy boundaries creating an environment conducive to healing from trauma of all varieties. Utilizing a combination of advanced therapies, individualized academic plans and a core competency model, students ignite their sense of purpose, build resilience, and cultivate a strong sense of self. As partners in each family's story of growth, Magnolia Mill guides students and parents toward success and well-being every step of the way. Located in the beautiful mountains of Western NC, the sprawling Magnolia Mill School grounds are an inviting and inclusive atmosphere, creating a supportive space where students can feel comfortable and empowered to express themselves authentically. Fully licensed through the NC Department of Health and Human Services, and accredited by both CARF and Cognia, all school credits earned in small teacher-led classes are transferrable to any school or college in the country. SEVIS certification through the US Department of Homeland Security permits the enrollment of international students.
