Heartspring earned a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International in July for its Pediatric Outpatient Clinic and Residential Program within its Therapeutic School.

Throughout 2024, Whetstone Academy has had the privilege of having the Chattooga River Fly Shop come to our campus on a volunteer basis to teach our youth lessons in fly fishing. They have taken our students through lesson plans in fly fishing basics, casting, knot tying, aquatic entomology, and a sponsored trip to the Walhalla State Fish Hatchery.

On October 18, 2014 Mike hung up his sleeping bag and hiking boots in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument as a wilderness therapist and took a shot at working indoors with At the Crossroads in St. George, UT.

For more than 25 years, Second Nature has transformed nature-based therapy through its extensive network of semi-permanent basecamps in the Fall/Spring field area. These basecamps, dispersed across a wide region, offer groups the flexibility to hike to different locations, creating a dynamic and engaging experience that promotes adventure, independence, and novelty.
