About
Founded in 2002, Turning Winds is a co-ed residential treatment center that is located on a 150-acre campus in northwestern Montana. Surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest, our program helps teens age 13 to 18 work through a wide range of behavioral, educational, and mental health challenges. During a typical 6-12 month stay, our relationship-focused model fosters individual and relational growth centered on five key pillars: character and leadership development; health & wellness; experiential education; evidence-based clinical care; and academic engagement. Each patient is immersed in a peer-supportive culture providing leadership opportunities constructed to promote self-reliance and contribute to a positive change for those around them. It is through a customized experience involving clinical, education, and recreational therapy that we can create an environment of success. Program Highlights: - Customized Treatment Program - Accepts most insurance - Support Dietary Restrictions - International Service Trips - Credit Recovery - Outdoor Adventure On Staff Clinical Highlights: - Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Addictions Counselor - 24-hour nursing support - small clinical caseloads - RTC, PHP & IOP support
