NATSAP Leadership Conference: Account, Act, Lead

The 2024 NATSAP Leadership Summit will be held on Monday, September 16th - Tuesday, September 17th at the Utah Valley Convention Center located in Provo, Utah.

The Leadership Summit is open to Program Executives and the focus is one of professional growth and emotionally safe support. Attendance is limited members of a program’s executive team (i.e., Executive, Clinical, Program, Education, Admissions, and Business Development Director).


Objectives

  • Accounting: Embrace transparency and build a foundation of trust and integrity by accounting for our past experiences and lessons learned.
  • Acting: Implement innovative and effective strategies to address current challenges, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Leading: Drive the future of behavioral healthcare through proactive and accountable practices, setting the standard for excellence.

Monday, September 16th

9:00 AM - Registration and Breakfast
Reflect: networking and nourishment, setting the stage for reflection and discussion.

9:15 AM - Welcome and Introduction: Alec Stone, MA, MPA, Executive Director, NATSAP
Lead: outlining the goals and importance of leadership and growth in the field.

9:30 AM - State of the Association: Derek Daley, SUDC, NATSAP Vice President
Account: Overview of NATSAP’s current status and future vision, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in program standards.

10:00 AM - Speaker: Caleb Cottle, (Conferences)
Resolve: Discuss the value of conferences and ensuring profitability to support NATSAP.
Lead: Ensuring sustainable growth and value.

10:30 AM - Speaker: John Singleton, EdD, NATSAP President (Unity and Purpose)
Act: Collaboration and partnerships with partners in the mental and behavioral health community.

11:00 AM - Speaker: Laura Mills (Research Update)
Resolve: Address challenges of the historical protocol and report on the NATSAP DATA project.
Account: Focus on tracking and improving research practices.
