Description of Services : Emily has been working with adolescents, young adults and their families since 2003. Prior to becoming a Therapeutic & Educational Consultant, she worked as a clinician in outpatient, residential, therapeutic boarding, and wilderness therapy settings. She draws upon her previous clinical experience while visiting and evaluating therapeutic schools and programs all across the country, and this leads to a unique framework in which she offers families a dynamic, comprehensive, and highly personalized consulting service. Alongside her colleague in Philadelphia, she serves families in the greater Atlanta area, the southeast, and mid-Atlantic areas, who are in need of creative therapeutic and educational alternatives for adolescents or young adults. She has clinical expertise in many areas, and especially loves working with emerging personality disorders, adoption/attachment (particularly transracial adoption), trauma, complex family systems, and has particular passion for working towards equity and inclusion through an anti-racist framework, as well as affirming care for LGBTQAI+ clients.
