Description of Services : Pamela Gershman Bard, LMSW, is an Educational Consultant based in Maplewood, NJ. Through her company, Academic Counseling Services, LLC., she has worked with countless adolescents, young adults and their families over the course of her 20-plus year career. As an Educational Consultant, she provides educational placements to a wide range of boarding, day and therapeutic schools as well as wilderness, psychiatric, and a variety of alternative programs. She is known for her individual dedication to each of her clients.In addition to her work as a consultant, Bard is a long-standing member of the Maplewood / South Orange School District Parenting Center board.A graduate of Syracuse University, Bard is also a graduate of New York University's (NYU) Silver School of School Work, where she received her Masters degree in Social Work. Bard began her work with adolescents at Fowler High School in Syracuse before moving to New York City's Madison Square Boys and Girls Clubs, where she served as the Empowerment Director of youth services She also served at the Director of the Big Brother Big Sister program at New York City's Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services. Before opening her practice in Maplewood, NJ Bard worked for the CEDU schools, marketing to professionals and running parent and sibling support groups throughout the tri state area.
