Timothy Grant Livengood is an accomplished psychiatric healthcare administrator, and business development professional. He currently serves as a business and network development professional for Acadia Healthcare. After beginning a successful career in real estate, Timothy Grant realized his passion for mental health and healthcare administration. He then transitioned from the real estate industry to a career in behavioral health. The focus of his current work is helping families, state agencies, and providers access quality, specialty psychiatry services across the country, building teams to engage patients in their journey to wellness, and supporting programs work to empower patients in care.

Timothy Grant currently presides as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Empower East, formerly Mental Health America of Eastern Carolina, and serves as a member of the Triangle Health Executives Forum (THEF) of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Timothy also completed a term as Chairman of the Awareness, Engagement, and Education Committee at Mental Health America, formerly presided on the Board of Directors for the national organization, Mental Health America (MHA), in Washington DC, and is the former Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Pitt County Coalition on Substance Abuse. 

Timothys Grant's work with community outreach has brought him to work with the National Association of Mental Illness, Mental Health America, various national businesses, and non-profit agencies throughout the Southeast. He graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Master’s in Leadership from Pfeiffer University. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration, with dual certificates in Marketing and Business Analytics from East Carolina University.

Timothy Grant has a passion to make a difference in people’s lives. Often getting weird looks for thinking outside the box and engaging and activating volunteers to get things done, Timothy Grant is on a mission to help people in youth-facing roles to help every young person realize their full potential—and to make sure no one has to go through mental health challenges alone.
