Support NASW's Interstate Licensure Compact
The NASW Interstate Licensure Compact is a pioneering program developed by the National Association of Social Workers. Its primary objective is to simplify and expedite the licensure process for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) who wish to practice across state lines. By participating in this compact, social workers can obtain a multi-state license, enabling them to provide vital services to clients in different jurisdictions without the burden of additional licensure requirements.
NATSAP has created a toolkit that outlines a step-by-step process on how you can voice your support for this Compact to your legislators. As of right now, the Compact is only being introduced on the state level, so you will be contacting your state & local representatives asking them to support the bill in your state. In the toolkit you will find links to identify your reps, their contact information, and how to contact them, as well as a template letter of support.
