About
Nestled in the scenic mountains of northwestern Montana, Building Bridges is dedicated to helping young men develop the tools and skills necessary to improve relationships, experience academic success, and ultimately live a healthy life. For over 25 years, our singular goal has been to help young men and their families realize their true potential and repair their relationships. Building Bridges serves young men, ages 14-18, who are struggling with substance abuse, as well as other disorders. Our foundational approach is based around a nurturing, relational model. We utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions while providing a normative environment to begin practicing learned therapeutic tools. This involves working on behaviors and choices to begin to rebuild healthier coping skills. Building upon individual successes, we empower and highlight the joys and pride of personal growth and achievement. Using an individualized, multidisciplinary approach we tailor a plan unique to each student. Each plan begins with a framework that focuses on areas of personal growth through individual, family, and group therapy. Our highly individualized approach creates a comfortable space for the realization and continuation of personal milestones in the therapeutic process. Focus on academics is a key component in our program. We provide ample layers of academic support and encourage both academic and social growth through challenging current and preconceived notions. Academic experiences happen at Building Bridges Academy and can include full-time enrollment in a public school in a peer supportive environment with the opportunity to be involved academically, socially, and athletically. Building Bridges normalizes the treatment and therapeutic experience by bringing reality to treatment and providing opportunities for success in both a traditional and non-traditional environment.
