About
Elevations provides an intensive, highly professional, therapeutic program utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Programming includes: college preparatory academics, therapeutic recreation activities, and individual, family and group psychotherapy. On-site medical/psychiatric services are available to all students. Students may be experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, attention challenges, mood disorders, negative relationships, academic difficulties, identity issues, substance use, impaired daily functioning, and other associated psycho-behavioral concerns. Students are housed in small all-gender therapeutic communities, which allow for student mentoring, team accountability and peer oriented social development. The school setting provides students with a more traditional high school experience. All classes are taught by teachers who are credentialed in their subject area. Class size averages 8-12 students allowing for more individualized instruction and support. Clinical philosophy is based upon Systemic, Relational and Social Learning theories. Within the integrated framework of these three theories, the treatment team at Elevations individualizes treatment based on the family's needs. The clinical care provided relies on Evidence Based Practices which are well-documented, effective approaches to treatment. Individual, group, and family therapy are provided by masters or doctoral level clinicians. Our clinical program includes weekly clinical/therapeutic services, expertise in ADHD & Executive functioning, Trauma work utilizing EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT, Substance Use, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy. Elevations offers on-site Parent Seminars, weekly Parent Support Groups, and weekly Parent DBT skills groups, as well as off-site Parent Workshops. Therapeutic Recreation Services address the adolescent's need for physical, emotional, and mental outlets through structured physical fitness, outdoor education, experiential education, community service learning and leisure education opportunities. These activities are intended to support goals set forth by each student's treatment team. Regular consultations with the clinical team and medical staff ensure that student's needs are being met along with a high standard for safety in all activities.
