About
Kaizen is a residential treatment center located in Payson, Utah, that works with young men (ages 13-18) who are struggling with problematic Sexual Behavior. These boys often deal with trauma, attachment issues, social difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and/or other complex challenges. Each young man that admits at Kaizen Academy goes through a thorough, arbitrary and independent assessment by an outside professional that measures level of risk and determines placement appropriateness, all while being involved in everyday activities and programming. With our heavy focus on creating a healthy family system, Kaizen is designed to help each boy and family have a uniquely crafted experience that will be the most beneficial to help support them through treatment while at our program and moving forward with life. In addition to our clinical work, the Program is committed to experiential and high adventure activities to help our young men develop confidence and a deeper sense of self. Students at the facility will participate in mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, fishing, camping and many other recreational and confidence building experiences. The goal of Kaizen is to help every child feel deeply loved, highly valued and securely connected. Kaizen sits on a 2+ acre property in the middle of Payson, Utah. Here the boys have a spacious home with property that allows opportunity to participate in a wide variety of recreation activities. Being located in the city provides students at Kaizen Academy the opportunity to easily be integrated in the community, gaining invaluable experiences of service, recreation activities, and life skills and social appropriateness practice to help the our clients develop a sense of normalcy and prepare for home or step down services. Although the campus is located in the community, recreation/adventure is a hallmark of the program. Kaizen is a short distance away from the ski resort and a minutes from mountains and canyons that provide an opportunity to experience all the beauty that Utah has to offer.
