Legacy Treatment Center is a unique blend of residential treatment and outdoor behavioral healthcare. We use the power of a treatment center with the healing of wilderness and the self-efficacy of adventure to support us in guiding clients on a journey of self-discovery and healthy growth. We specialize in working with young adults who are struggling with behavioral issues, substance use, lack of self-confidence or sense of purpose, or simply struggling with taking the final step to transition into adulthood. A meaningful wilderness adventure facilitated by expert guides and a licensed therapist provides a very powerful environment for growth. We use challenge and adventure to engage our clients and add texture to the outdoor experience. The wilderness is an optimum setting for individuals struggling with substance abuse to find new meaning in their lives. The time at the treatment center focuses on intensive treatment programming. During the three treatment center days, we provide a total of 17 hours of group work, including 7 hours of group therapy by licensed clinicians and 10 hours of milieu and Psycho-educational groups facilitated by staff under the direction of a therapist. Each client also has at least two individual sessions per week with a therapist. Being at the treatment center provides a space for clients and staff to process and reflect, gives clients access to showers and laundry facilities, and provides opportunities to practice self-care and basic life skills.
