About
Logan River Academy (LRA) is a residential program in Logan, UT helping teens of all genders 12-18 years old with a neurodiverse profile. Our program emphasizes a balance between a structured residential environment, therapy, and education. Students regularly participate in outdoor activities, sports, recreation, fitness activities, and service projects. A multidisciplinary team approach is used, in which therapists, teachers, mentors and medical staff work together to coordinate the highest level of care for each individual student. Our student profile includes: depression, anxiety, autism spectrum traits, ADHD, unhealthy technology habits, emotional dysregulation, learning differences, school avoidance, mild substance use, and trauma. Clinical services include a variety of treatment modalities utilized to help students achieve an improved level of functioning, diminish symptoms, and become productive members of their families and communities. Students receive individual, family and group therapy weekly. We use evidence-based therapy models and techniques to help our students reach their potential. Treatment modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Equine Therapy, Brain Spotting, and Neurofeedback. LRA has a full 7-12th grade academic curriculum. Our school atmosphere has a traditional feel with a variety of built-in accommodations, including two resource classrooms led by special education certified teachers and para educators. Class sizes are small, with attentive and supportive staff who help guide each student to reach their academic potential. For interested students, college preparation guidance counseling is available.
