About

OASIS Ascent is a short-term, residential treatment center serving teens 13-17 both local and abroad. Our goal is to help provide affordable care by utilizing out-of-network insurance benefits and to be a resource of renewed hope for families facing mental health crises. The name OASIS stands for Observation, Assessment, Stabilization, and Intensive Support. Our 30-90 day program provides intensive individual, family, and group therapy services to deliver on each of these components. Teens receive a variety of assessments during their treatment including a health and physical examination, bio-psychosocial assessment, psychological assessment, and neuropsychological testing (as needed). These assessments are utilized by the multidisciplinary treatment team to establish an individualized treatment plan. For many students, this includes medication management with our Psychiatrist, APRN, and 24/7 nursing staff. OASIS also offers Genome testing prior to medication adjustments so that we can best serve teens on a person-centered basis. Our clinical model of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) allows us to provide sustainable pathways to change for those struggling with mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, and more. We utilize family systems work in combination with intense DBT skills training to help heal families from the trauma & hardship they've endured. As a locked facility, we function similar to inpatient psychiatric care but maintain the flexibility of traditional residential settings. This includes several hours of daily academic programming, regular exercise, off-campus activities, and therapeutic groups. Our partnership with Mountain Point Academy allows students to follow the best individualized academic plan to meet their needs - whether that be catching up, staying on track, or collaborating with teachers from home. As students near completion of our program, our treatment team works to ensure continuation of care is planned out for whatever the next step may be.
