About
Red Oak Recovery is located in the pristine Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville, North Carolina. We specialize in the treatment of young adult men, ages 18-30, and are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse, and mental health treatment program. Inspiring transformation and self-exploration in a safe environment, we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive and lasting outcomes. Our focus is on clinical care and addressing issues in an integrated fashion to move towards healing of the entire person. Our developmentally specific treatment methods take into account clients' unique stories, trauma history, gender challenges, substance abuse history, relapse triggers, and mental health issues. Our multi-credentialed (clinical addictions and mental health) master's level clinicians integrate researchbased practices with complementary modalities to help clients honor themselves, recognize their selfworth, and pursue positive, lasting change. Red Oak Recovery focuses on the unique needs of young adult men that are impacted and recovering from trauma, substance abuse, and/or co-occurring disorders. Some of these include, but are not limited to, anger, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and social and emotional development. Our young adult men's program helps to begin building the steps to be successful in long-term recovery, become more selfsufficient, identify triggers that can lead to relapse, build healthy relationships, and learn positive coping skills. Our focus is on clinically sophisticated care as the result of blending our extensive experience, current research, and proven clinical modalities. In addition to individual therapy, we incorporate group therapy, psycho-education, adventure and experiential therapy, nutritional counseling, and community and relationship building in our program to develop lasting change on an emotional and spiritual level.
