At Whetstone Academy, we prioritize the profound impact of familial connections on children, particularly those facing challenges. Our commitment to adapting and improving our programs to meet student needs and strengthen family relationships is unwavering. In addition to our existing family therapy, we are excited to introduce new programming for the families of our students. Blake Smith, Whetstone's Director of Transition and Family Services, shared the following, 

"Whetstone's enhanced family programming will deliver dynamic experiential opportunities for practicing repetition and integrating essential skills and concepts that support the entire family system, from siblings to community support. Retreat-based workshops, weekly coaching calls, and skill - or content-specific seminars will be offered year-round to ensure excellence within our responsive and family-centered treatment model. As an experienced teacher, consultant, clinician, and parent of two daughters - I am honored and excited to share the accumulated wisdom I have been fortunate to learn from so many outstanding mentors, educators, therapists, clients, and professionals in our field over the past 25 years. This dedication of resources towards the more intensive development of the family system on the part of Whetstone elevates the whole family experience by encouraging discussions and connections between our team families and parents with knowledge and no how that can be used in a real-time and immediately impactful way."
