1) GRANTS: PBJF provides financial support via grants for young people who are struggling or in-crisis to attend selected wilderness therapy programs located throughout the United States - our primary focus is to serve those young people in need who reside in Oregon and Washington; 2) INFORMATION RESOURCE: PBJF acts as an information resource for families and the community about wilderness therapy programs and how to access them for their child or young adult; 3) SUICIDE PREVENTION: Provide community outreach education & research funding for suicide prevention that addresses and includes mental health, addiction & substance abuse issues; 4) COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Create community through ongoing local events and activities that promote a sense of belonging, a healthful lifestyle and connection to the wilderness - for all wilderness therapy program graduates and their families as well as graduates and families of continuing therapeutic schools and transitional living programs; who live in Oregon and Washington.
