Residential Treatment Center Specialty Psychiatric & Behavioral Hospital

About

Evolve offers a full continuum of care, including Residential Treatment Centers (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP), with locations in Northern and Southern California. At Evolve, we specialize in treating teens, 12 to 17 years old, who have difficulty regulating emotions, are engaging in high-risk or self-injurious behaviors, or are suffering from suicidal ideation. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, behavioral issues, ADHD, psychosis, borderline personality disorder, and other high-acuity mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. At the residential level of care, teens live on-site in our beautiful home with 24/7 support and supervision. With a small milieu of only 6 clients at a time, Evolve is dedicated to individualized care and the highest safety standards. Our treatment team includes board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and counselors. Teens receive three individual therapy sessions, two family therapy sessions, and one psychiatry session per week. In addition, the robust program schedule includes a minimum of 15 clinical groups per week, experiential therapy, academic hours, therapeutic outings, and more. At Evolve, our therapeutic approach incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) at all locations and at all levels of care. We offer two types of DBT programs: DBT-Informed and Comprehensive DBT programs. Our fully adherent Comprehensive DBT program uses DBT as the main therapeutic modality and incorporates the four essential components of DBT. Our DBT-informed programs provide a strong skills-training component, in conjunction with other evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and others. The combination of therapeutic approaches in each treatment plan depends on the specific needs of the adolescent in treatment.
